At Rivercities Baseball Initiative - RBI - is leading the grassroots effort to support Major League Baseball's permanent home in the Sacramento region. Sacramento and West Sacramento are working together to make this dream a reality -- and RBI is doing the hard work of organizing community support from baseball fans, youth sports and community organizations who will be the backbone of a vibrant fan base.
Major League Baseball is expected to create two new expansion teams by the end of the decade. Our mission is to support the establishment of a MLB team based in West Sacramento, but firmly rooted as a team for the entire Sacramento region. Join us in our efforts to bring the excitement of professional baseball to Sacramento, where we believe in the power of sports to unite and inspire.
